As you all know, this year’s Shelter from the Storm on April 9th and 10th is to benefit the Wounded Warriors Project. To tie in with this year’s theme we have arranged for speakers to be available to talk to your classes.
The presentations are for 1 full class period each, so they will not affect any other classes. On Friday, April 9th, we have the following available to speak to your classes:
Periods 6/7/8/9: The Polytrauma/Traumatic Brain Injury Team from the Philadelphia VA Medical Center:
Dr. Keith Robinson, Director/Rehabilitation Medicine Physician (discussing the biology of brain injury)
Dr. Rose Biester, neuropsychologist (discussing the psychology of brain injury)
Susan Holton, Nurse practitioner and case manager for the Operation Iraqi Freedom/Enduring Freedom returning vets (discussing the rehabilitation process)
Period 10: Dr. Wilson from Princeton House (discussing Post traumatic Stress Disorder)
If you are interested in having your classes hear these speakers, please email me back as soon as possible, so I can arrange the space.
If you have any questions, please let me know. jlibeskind@hillsborough.k12.nj.us
Thanks you,
